Best RPG since The Quest

5 stars with maps and a better d-pad. Original idea, clever writing, streamlined gameplay and look! Multi-layered dungeons ;)

Choose to use the commentary and you will learn many interesting facts about the creation of the game. Great game!

Awesome!

Amazing

This game has such great humor and a completely retro feel that makes it highly enjoyable. Definitely worth the money.

Very rarely does a game come out with this much awesome.

I am so in love with this game, so retro and full of awesome and win.

Its ok but

Please make the controls bigger my thumbs are to big

Great sleeper game

Fun and funny, its only problem is awful the d-pad. Dont let that stop you from getting the game, as youll get used to it eventually. 5 stars with a better d-pad and maps.

Optimize for iPhone 5 please

PLEASE

SHADARCRON APPROVES

I thought that this game was the best game I ever played! I love all the references to other media like the Princess Bride. I wonder if there should be a sequel to this game. Now that would be awesome! It is certainly a god of games.

Great RPG

Missed this gem back in the day, bought this and Secret of Mana today. The game is surprisingly good only complaints are random battles happen really fast and some wonky but manageable controls. 2.00 well spent love the story and graphics brings bad nostalgia

Good stuff

This game has an excellent sense of humor mixed with old school goodness. Fun in small or large doses. I have the Steam version and am excited to now have it for iOS. This game will make you laugh and get strange looks if playing in public!

awwwesome

have nothing bad to say about the game! every thing i wanted is in the game!!

Interesting characters

good music, characters, havent gotten really far so cant comment on the plot. Major annoyance is having to grind rather that just select random enemy encounters off. They do allow this after 25 random enemy encounters in one dungeon for that dungeon, or about 200 encounters for the world map. I may have had the patience to waste my time pressing on attack numerous times for an hour before getting to the next dungeon, but now I dont have that patience. A lot of my friend have stopped playing RPGs because of the annoying random enemy battles. The first battle when you turn things insane is funny, but staring at the same ugly monster 25 times without reprieve or an option to not see them feels like work. Whats the point of doing this for the minimal dopiminergic release of getting to see what happens next Im the story? Thats the major problem I have with RPGs, they are long not because of content, but because of the mindless grinding you have to commit yourself to in order to get anywhere in the game.

Ahahaha.

Funny little RPG with lots of elements making it unique. Although this can be a problem if you were looking forward to a more serious game-nevertheless its awesome!

Control issues.

I played for around half an hour testing different methods of using the d-pad. Nothing worked. Im zigging when Im supposed to be zagging and Im sitting there, taking in the scenery when Im trying to move. Seems like its a fun game; love the fighting system. Hope these issues get fixed soon.

Half Baked

I really wanted to like this game. I love classic style RPGs, but everything in this just feels half baked. The controls are terrible, everything from the menus to the level systems are bizarre. Just feels incomplete. If the controls were more stable, Id give it a second chance.

Boring and repetitive

Almost all the games I play are RPGs and I found this game Boring and repetitive

Fantastic Old-School Rpg

I really love the feel of this game. It plays and feels like a retro RPG but it has some nice modern touches. The combat is very streamlined and the management of magic points adds a nice level of strategy to the encounters. It has a wonderful smirky sense of humor in its writing and Cthulhu has some hilarious one-liners. Im not sure why people are complaining about the controls. They have been tight and accurate on my iPad 4. I also havent experienced a game crash. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a very satisfying retro style RPG with a very original, unusual and humorous premise.

Awesome Game

This game is fun to play, and funny. It is hands down one of the best games on my iPad. Also I have to say, I recommend getting the MindOrb 5XD-2 to control this game, calibration for it takes a bit of extra work, but if defiantly worth it.
